I. Love. This. Jacket. It was a Madewell popback purchase last week during the 25% off sale (still going on today). I’m so glad I took the plunge outside my comfort zone. The jacket is surprisingly versatile. Its perfect for spring to fall, at least in the Midwest. Just big enough to layer under without looking too bulky. This is an xs.
Now I’m determined to try out more Madewell outerwear (have a a legitimate excuse to buy outerwear year-round now, you know). Their coats are more rugged looking than J. Crew’s, but still just as adorable. I’ve been eyeing this Kasson Parka for about a month now. It was actually the first thing that caught my eye on their site. I swear it was on sale before, though. Confused.
Happy day-before-Friday!! I hurried home yesterday and was able to snap a few pictures right before it got too dark. I probably do look this tired and ghostly after work normally. I’m just not used to having to get up at 5am anymore. I’m not a fan. And where has the sun gone? Its so gray outside all the time. Its theoretically supposed to be in the 40′s in another day. Please please please, weather gods, don’t forget!!
Equipment makes some of the most perfect silk shirts. I absolutely adore them. The length is perfect for skinny pants. Aka, long. But the cut is lovely, showing lots of leg from the side, and steeply curving down in the front and the back. The fabric is a thicker washed silk, but it’s still thin enough to have a flattering drape and be layered over easily. I take an XS in these, and the bust is usually around 36 inches and the length is in the mid-high 20′s.
I have been on a serious eBay kick, obviously. The Equipment shirt was $40-something, the best price I’ve ever found, especially for NWT. This Jimmy Choo bag is my other favorite purchase recently. I think it was about $330. The leather is super soft and smooth and it has a simple but modern vibe to it. I think this one will be a keeper, at least for a while
If you’re reading down this far, then I’m going to waste some of your time and tell you that I’m done with my interviews!!! It doesn’t seem very exciting, but I’m totally relieved. I just drove 19 hours in a 36-hour time frame to get to and from my last one. Rough. Did you know that McDonald’s serves oatmeal at any hour? I didn’t, but now I do. And that fruity maple oatmeal stuff is pretty darn tasty (and probably more healthy than just about anything else on the menu, or so I’ll tell myself).
Is anyone else having this crazy warm weather? I can’t even describe how excited I was to walk outside and smell the fresh air (I love the rain smell) without completely freezing. Must get outside as much as possible this weekend!! Hope you have a great weekend, too!

Welcome! I'm Amber, and this is my blog. I'm not fashionable enough to have a true "fashion blog," nor am I exciting enough to have a "lifestyle blog." So, this is my "share-my-random-thoughts" blog. Shopping, fitness, finance, meditation, healthcare, food... you get the idea. I throw some outfit pictures in there for some visual interest!
