Happy Friday!! Its finally starting to warm up around here, other than our 40-degree day today (which is a great excuse to wear this fuzzy, cozy jacket, so not a total bummer!). I’m excited to get outside and enjoy some fresh air! A little tennis sounds like a great idea.

So, I’m doing really well with not buying things so far this month (join the challenge!!). Sure, its only been three days, but it still counts, haha! I think I’m actually going to plan out all four of my purchases for the month right away. I’m doing another huge closet clean out right now, so I should take a look at what additions would be most useful. Outerwear will top the list, I think.

// Horny Toad Jacket, XS (similar hoodie) //
// J. Crew Tunic (old) //
// Adriano Goldschmied Stilt Roll-up Jeans, 26 (preowned) //
// Michael Kors Loafers, 7 (runs a little small) //
// Balenciaga Courier Bag (preowned) //

Have a great weekend!

White Jeans

April 26, 2013 in Adriano Goldschmied, Balenciaga, Burberry, LOOKBOOK

After looking at my budget and my upcoming moving expenses (security deposit, two months rent, etc), I’ve decided that I’m not going to spend any of my saved money on non-necessities. I returned everything that I bought this month other than my Sephora items, which I’d eventually need anyway. The last thing I need is to suddenly run out of funds and have to use credit or take out a relocation loan. I better get to eBay selling if I want to buy anything this spring!!

These pants were my last purchase I made before I went on vacation. For less than $40, I definitely think they’re worth it (bought pre-owned)! I can’t recommend the AG stilt style enough. They’re so flattering for smaller frames and they hold their shape beautifully. They also have the cropped version for a slightly shorter inseam, which I actually prefer. For white jeans, I’m also a fan of J. Crew’s cropped matchstick. I have the version with stretch. They’re reasonably priced when on sale (worn here).

// Burberry Brit Trench, 2 (pre-owned) //
// T by Alexander Wang Top, xs //
// Adriano Goldschmied Stilt Jeans, 25 (pre-owned) //
// Balenciaga Flats, 36 (pre-owned) //
// Balenciaga Courier Bag (pre-owned) //

A while back I also picked up these Balenciaga flats for $66!! Adorable and so comfy. Buying pre-owned definitely has its advantages. Any money that I do make from selling will go right back into the secondhand market. When funds are this tight, I really have to stretch my dollar, and buying on eBay can definitely make that happen. Have a great weekend!

Madewell Crossweave-Sleeve Trench Review

March 25, 2013 in Adriano Goldschmied, Balenciaga, Equipment, inhabit NY, J. Crew, J. Crew Reviews, LOOKBOOK, Pour la Victoire

I. Love. This. Jacket. It was a Madewell popback purchase last week during the 25% off sale (still going on today). I’m so glad I took the plunge outside my comfort zone. The jacket is surprisingly versatile. Its perfect for spring to fall, at least in the Midwest. Just big enough to layer under without looking too bulky. This is an xs.

Now I’m determined to try out more Madewell outerwear (have a a legitimate excuse to buy outerwear year-round now, you know). Their coats are more rugged looking than J. Crew’s, but still just as adorable. I’ve been eyeing this Kasson Parka for about a month now. It was actually the first thing that caught my eye on their site. I swear it was on sale before, though. Confused.
