Burberry Mottram Trench Coat Review

Burberry Mottram Trench Coat Review

Sorry for the back to back posts!! I figured I should get this post up right away seeing that Saks is having 25% off for F&F (I’ve heard Nordstrom is price matching) and Neiman Marcus is having some gift card promos. I grabbed this trench during Bloomingdales F&F event, after having sold a ton of stuff from my closet to fund it. I’ve been coveting these coats for so long!

I am not disappointed by this coat, but its not perfect.

Sizing: I’m wearing a regular size 2 here. My measurements are in the about me section, if you’re interested.

Fit: The fit is great in the shoulders and bust. I love the shorter length. The sleeves, however, are too long. They’d definitely need to be altered at least 1.5 inches. Not uncommon for me.

Measurements: These are for a size 2, in inches:

  • bust: 17.5
  • waist: 16.5
  • shoulders: no seams
  • sleeves (underarm to sleeve): 18.5
  • length (boc to hem): 30

Material: The cotton is somewhat stiff and repels rain & blocks wind well. Its lined in the classic plaid fabric. It won’t keep you toasty warm, but it would be perfect for Midwest springs and falls.

Quality: The quality is what I would expect from Burberry. It looks good, no real issues at all.

Color: The actual color name is “trench.” I’d describe it as a light gray with beige undertones. Its a great color that goes with a lot of other colors. Black would be perfect, too.

Price: For some reason there are differences in price between the large department stores. I’d try to get a price match if I purchased at Saks.
