Thinking of the Holidays

So excited to be able to take part in this year’s Thanksgiving celebration with my family! I’ll be talking a nice break from interviews, but will be right back at it on Monday.

Disheartening Interesting story. While on a flight to one of my interviews I’m sitting next to a young lady about my age. I typically try to ignore people, and was doing an excellent job. About 20 minutes into the flight we hear an announcement calling for any nurses, doctors or EMT’s to please come up to the front. We both do and find an elderly lady that they called “unresponsive,” but ended up being just fine. After that we take our seats. The flood gates open and I get to hear about the life of my seat-neighbor. Long story short, she’s going to visit one of her relatives. She was previously a nurse and was caught twice taking patients’ narcotics. She obviously lost her job, only has $26 left to her name, blah blah blah. This was all apparently “God’s plan.”  During this whole time I’m super supportive of her turning her life around. The plane lands. She gets up asap, climbs over me saying that she’s suddenly “claustrophobic.” I see her run down the aisle as far as she can get (we are the very last row on a 26 row plane). She then proceeds to take out her cigarettes and ask all of the folk around her where she can go smoke…

Two and a half hours of my life wasted. I could have been sleeping. This is why I could never be a psychologist.

Quick comment on the skirt. I picked it up after seeing SPG’s review saying it was too short, lol. I thought it looked perfect, so I went in store to pick it up. Sadly, mine was twice as much as her’s ($30). But I love it. It definitely runs smaller than the regular city mini. I’d post a comparison, but they’re nearly sold out 🙁
