I can’t imagine anything more comfortable than the maxi skirt. And just because the weather’s getting chilly doesn’t mean I want to put these (whopping two) skirts away.
I actually think that these skirts will be fairly versatile as it gets cooler. I’ve seen a few pinterest images of people wearing maxi’s with chunky sweaters. This is something I’m definitely going to have to try. But for now, I’ll just throw on a fitted sweater, long trench, and call it a day.
Notice the sandals? Yes, these lovelies will be worn until it snows. And then between snows. I just wore a new pair of shoes and my heels are so ripped up that even the thought of having on regular shoes is painful. Why must I have such darn bony heels?

=[ That happens to me all the time, especially with flats. More so flats tear up the back of my heels than heels. I’m now carrying around a small tub of Vaseline. We’ll see how it works for me.
BUT I love your outfit. I’d never think to wear a longer coat with a maxi skirt. You’re so creative. =]
let me know how that works! this week i’m sporting scrubs and clogs. super attractive. i wonder when those nasty scabs are going to finally fall off. i’m trying heel inserts in the flats. maybe that extra height will help?
I like your style. You look adorable! I also love that you wore the light colored maxi and sandals with a scar and a coat. Very cool. You are inspiring me to extend the life of my really summery clothes. π
I have bony heels as well and they used to get ripped to shreds, but once I started to buy the serious designer shoes (aka Prada), I have no problems anymore. The quality to me is really worth not having the misery of blisters.
I’m surprised about Lanvin – I’ve never tried their shoes and I think I’ll stay away based on your experience! I had a pair of Prada heels that I wore in to the ground and was so sad when they were worn beyond repair – these were shoes I would go trotting around NYC in for an evening out. I just bought my first pair of Loubie’s and while I love them, I don’t think they’re in the same comfort category.
I really like your blog dear!
Keep up the great work! π

thank you!!
Love this look, the maxi skirt is so pretty. You look gorgeous π
thank you!
Oh no! Your poor heels! I experience a similar problem with mine. π So far none of my new shoes have torn them up this school year.
You look so comfy! Love that scarf with your hair!
thank goodness! i cant imagine going thru a whole day of teaching with shoes digging into your heels, ouch!!
i like your coat and pop of burgundy! this is so laid back and cozy

I love the cozy, relaxed look of a maxi skirt with a sweater, but I really love it with the coat you have on! That’s definitely my style…
That milky jacket is gorgeous.
