Little Red Coat

Happy Wednesday! This is a post I did this past Sunday for a September challenge hosted by the adorable Marion over at Marionberry Style. The goal for this outfit was to incorporate some animal print. I’m slowly warming up to the trend (seasons later), but I’ve only gone so far as to getting animal print shoes. Three pairs, to be exact (these, these and the ones I have on). And although I love the shoes, I don’t really see myself expanding my animal print collection much more. A belt maybe. A bag if I’m feeling really brave. I might be more apt to try tortoise print, as it seems a slight bit more work appropriate.

A quick note about this coat. LOVE. That should suffice, really. This is the Narciso Rodriguez coat I mentioned a while back that I picked up on eBay for pretty darn cheap. I love the color. I love the style. And really, you can’t quite tell that its a size too big for me. I might just keep this one “as is” and save a trip to the tailor. I’m planning on wearing a warm fleece under (I’m an Arcteryx nut, they have the warmest stuff) and wearing it throughout the winter.

Oh, funny story. My parents came over this past weekend for some more home renovation. My mom said to me, “someone at work found your blog.” Really?

Me: “was it a fashionable women?”
Mom: “No, it was a man.”
Me: “Uh, ok. I wonder what he was searching then.”
Mom: “I didn’t ask.”

Just goes to show how small the world can be. And its a nice reminder to keep everything I say very neutral. Never know when one of those residency directors will stumble across the blog while looking for a review on some J. Crew Minnies or something. Where is that purseforum “sneaky” icon when you need it??

Found it!! –> :sneaky:
