Review: J. Crew Minnie Pant in Stretch Twill – boulevard green

I’m finally giving these a go after they’ve been out for a couple years. I don’t know what took so long, but I couldn’t resist this deep green color.  I have a big comparison coming of stretch cropped pants versions from J. Crew, Banana Republic and Ann Taylor in the works, but I’ll just give a quick comment on these now.

Sizing wise, those smaller than me will be out of luck. I sized down to a 00P and they fit great. I think they’ll stretch out some, but hopefully they’ll still be ok. The material is thinner and super comfy. The color is stunning. No complaints there. I love the length on these. An inch longer wouldn’t hurt, though.

And a quick word on this top, the silk-linen henley tunic (62497) in warm ivory. Its thick and heavy and obviously oversized (this is a size xxs). That said, I love it. Its shorter in the front, longer in the back. The substantial material will add some good warmth in the fall under sweaters or cardigans. This is probably a skinnies/ leggings only tunic to balance out the proportions, but I’m ok with that. I might try to shrink it up a bit in the wash. We’ll see how that goes.

UPDATE: I’ve worn these tons!! See them here
