Pleats & Plaid

I’ve been having my typical pre-fall wardrobe crisis. I don’t know why it happens, but it happens every spring and fall without fail. My fall wishlist is in the making!! Polyvore is definitely helping me think of more versatile items I may want to add.

If you use Polyvore and want to check out my sets, HERE is the link. I’ve been playing around with general pairings up until today, but now I’m also working on putting all of my items I own (or items similar) into my “items” category and trying to make new outfits with what I already have. This is an easy way to figure out what is missing in the closet.  I allow myself to search a new item or two for an outfit if needed. If I tend to use the same item over and over (like animal print shoes), its definitely worth considering adding to the collection!!

A note on this skirt: for being a classic plain taupe, its surprisingly hard to pair with. I might have to go get it altered in the waist and length- I think that might help the overall appearance and help it to be more versatile. But can you even alter the waist when there are pleats? I’ll have to take it to my wonderful tailor to find out.
