Candy Colorized?? Kinda…

First off, thanks to Sew Petite Gal for hosting this challenge. If you haven’t checked out her blog already, you need to head over there for two reasons. One is to check out the other entries, which are no doubt more exciting than mine. The other reason is to check out her amazing DIYs. This girl is so creative.

Ok, what I attempted to do here was:

Take a bowl full of colorful candies (M&Ms, Jolly Ranchers, jelly beans, etc.), close your eyes, and draw 2-3 pieces.  Now use those colors (+ a neutral of your choosing) to form the basis for your ensemble.

This was a problem right off the bat. For one, I never have candy around, and I’m too poor to buy a bag of candy just for this challenge (t-5  days until school loan disbursement). I improvised by writing the numbers 1-6 on a piece of paper and assigning each a color. Then I rolled a die. My numbers 3 & 4 gave me green and blue…

I know, I know. This ensemble doesn’t exactly make me think “candy colorized.” But unless I wanted to cheat and do different colors, this is as good as it gets (my wardrobe is quite limited in the summer apparel department). Boring? Yes. Typical Amber outfit? Yes. No surprises here.
